Best OLED Monitors 2024: The Most Beautiful Gaming Monitors

But we prefer using some top-quality noise canceling headphones to really get in the working zone, so this wasn’t much of a downside for us. We'd say lean more towards 5K ultrawide over WQHD displays, as this will reduce any upscaling or descaling. If you're referencing a photo, for example, having an ultrawide display could come in handy. Colour and brightness are also up there with the best, and it features USB-C via Thunderbolt 3, making this another worthy consideration for MacBook users. It's a fantastic-looking monitor that won't dominate your working area, and one that we feel is practically ageless in design.

Should I get one high-end monitor or multiple cheaper displays?

In addition, you can link this monitor with another Dell 4K monitor with Display Stream Compression (DSC) technology. The best setup often combines a flagship central monitor flanked by affordable secondary displays. Mix and match based on your own workflow needs and budget flexibility. Best 27″ All-Rounder: Motion Design, Video Editing, 3D

We’ll help you find the best colors, display size, and functionality for the perfect design setup. There are professionals for whom having close to 100% coverage of the Adobe RGB space is essential to control the outcome of their print jobs. Dell has a couple of curved monitors that could be an alternative to this one. One is the 34-inch Dell UltraSharp Curved, a curved monitor with very similar characteristics to this one, but with a much higher price. The other is the Dell UltraSharp 40″ Curved WUHD, which has 5K resolution at 60 Hz, covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color space and includes more features.

Monitor’s Color Accuracy: sRGB and Adobe RGB Explained

IPS monitors on the other hand often produce better viewing angles and high color accuracy. What's more, you can plug two display cables into the back of this behemoth, and it'll act as two 1440p monitors. The best OLED monitors offer a stunning visual experience - a big upgrade over traditional LCD or LED monitors.

Reviews

best screen for graphic design

It covers approximately 50% of visible colors, so its gamut (perceptible color space) is larger than that of sRGB. Having a wide viewing angle on your monitor is essential for the image to be perceived correctly from various positions. This is especially useful for designers who may at some point need to show their screen to other colleagues or clients. This means that, at the same screen size, with a 4K UHD resolution we will have 4 times more pixel density than with an HD resolution, which translates into a greater sharpness in images and texts. An alternative to this monitor is the EIZO ColorEdge CS2740, which is usually priced slightly cheaper.

Is a 27″ Monitor too small for 4K?

The Asus ProArt Display PA32DC is number one on my list due to its exceptional features perfect for professionals striving for precise color reproduction. Some of these monitors will come equipped with better features than others, which can improve a designer's overall performance. Fortunately for us designers, the improvement in technology has made 4K monitors better and more affordable than ever. For starters, a monitor stand with a full range of adjustment is critical. Height and tilt adjustments are the bare minimum, while swivel and rotate into portrait are desirable if not critical extras. Most monitors will have both DisplayPort and HDMI connectivity, so hooking up to a desktop PC, workstation or Mac shouldn’t be a problem.

Nor does it feature the outstanding Liquid Retina XDR and mini LED technology found in Apple’s laptop line-up. A wide range of  color spaces - 100% Rec 709, 100% sRGB, 98% DCI-P3 - mark the 27-inch Dell U2723QE as one of the best monitors for photo editing if you want an all-in-one work hub. The InnoCN 27M2U features an impressive mini LED screen - the same technology you’ll find in Apple products - so expect a crisp, high-resolution display and a monitor that features superb build quality. One for creative professionals and prosumers with a keen eye for color reproduction. This fantastic monitor is ideal for any graphic designer, whether you’re a beginner or a professional. Despite the low cost, it’s packed with helpful features to improve your experience.

What is the best Monitor Size for Video Editing?

best screen for graphic design

You can find some good deals if you shop around, but if your graphic-design workload requires accurate color and gray-scale performance, don't settle for mediocrity just to save a few bucks. If you're a graphic designer, you need an LCD with high resolution, extreme performance, and cutting-edge connectivity. The best monitor for graphic artists or designers doesn't have to be 4K since resolution isn't as important for static design as it is for video. That said, your work will look better up close since details will be clearer, so 4K is generally worth the extra outlay if you have the budget.

Best graphic design monitor for print

Fortunately, in this guide you will find the best monitor for every need you may have as a designer, and everything you need about it. Rich contrast showcases the full dynamic range of your creations, from faint highlights to deep shadows. And ample brightness keeps everything visible without washout or glare. Below is a quick list of the top five of our picks as the best 4K monitors in brief. You can scroll down further for our full comparisons and more pointers on how to choose the best 4K monitor for you.

That should reduce eye strain and allow you to see more without swiveling your head around. The 32-inch screen gives you lots of real estate, even if you are a multitasker. There are a good number of ports, though it won’t double as a USB hub as some monitors do. But you do get access to two HDMI 2.0, one DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB-C with 90 watts of power delivery. So if you use a laptop as your main computer, you can charge it while connected to the monitor, which is a nice plus.

Despite the low price, you still get 4K resolution with 157 ppi, resulting in excellent detail. Calibration will give you even more accurate results, but it isn’t necessarily required. Without diving deep into monitor technology, you’ll typically want to look for a monitor with IPS or in-plane switching. These displays still rely on LCD (liquid crystal display) tech, but they often offer far superior color reproduction and much wider viewing angles than their competition. This tech can help fend off typical shortcomings like monitors that get darker or introduce color shifts as you approach the edge of the screen. Below, we evaluate the pros and cons of each, picking options for difference price points, from budget to professional displays.

If you’re looking for an affordable monitor with excellent specs, check out the BENQ PD. Vertical and angle adjustments will allow you to get your set-up just right. With VESA mount compatibility, you can adapt your monitor further by changing stands. All in all, you’ve got to consider all of these factors when you’re looking for a new monitor. They’ll help you understand the decisions you’re making and which specs you’re winning and losing. Static contrast ratio refers to a measurement of this ratio at a single point in time, whereas Dynamic contrast ratio refers to a measurement taken over a period of time.

Among best budget monitors for graphic design, this LG 27UL500-W offers incredible value for money without sacrificing too many professional features. You can now go 4K without spending a fortune, but the best 4K monitors can still be very expensive if you want pro-level calibration and the best colour accuracy. If you're going to be using your screen for any kind of colour work, then you want precise colour accuracy. Most entry-level 4K monitors actually do a fairly decent job, but the best 4K monitors for designers will have full coverage of the AdobeRGB or DCI-P3 colour space.

Our team of expert reviewers have tested hundreds of different monitors and these are our top picks for color accuracy, high resolutions, and wide color space coverage. If you’re as serious about gaming as you are about your graphic design, this budget-friendly monitor has your back. We loved this GIGABYTE M27Q monitor for its high 170Hz refresh rate and incredible 95% AdobeRGB color gamut coverage. Pair that with a 0.5ms response time, and you have a monitor that’s ready to overperform on your viewing expectations.

In addition, the IPS panel and full HD resolution deliver high-quality pictures and a unique SmartContrast technology further enhances the image and makes for rich, crisp blacks. The Asus VT229H (21.5 inches) is another small touchscreen monitor on this list. But it still has the same Full HD resolution as larger 24” and even 27” touch screens, giving you more pixels per inch and somewhat better image quality. In addition, this is an IPS LCD, with wide 178 x 178-degree viewing angles, consistent color and contrast. Even though you might find many suitable monitors with massive screens, touchscreen monitors with small screens are always a good option for graphic designing, video editing, etc. Among the portable touchscreen monitors, Asus Pro art Display is a great pick for you.

Part of color accuracy depends on how much of the color gamut (or range) is covered. A monitor for graphic design should have 100% coverage of sRGB and ideally 100% of the wider Adobe RGB color space. DCI-P3 is an even wider color space, primarily used in the film industry. If you see a large percentage of DCI-P3 covered, it’s likely you’re going to get solid color performance. The BenQ Mobiuz EX3210R features a 32-inch curved display, which helps reduce the risk of colors looking washed out or muddy at wider viewing angles.

More and more people are going for wall-mounted monitors to save on desk space and clutter. So if you’re looking for a wall-mountable one, be sure to double-check the specs. This monitor also has a built-in USB C docking station with power delivery, making it an all-in-one cable for all things display, data, and power. The monitor also features a SmartErgoBase, which allows for super-simple rotation and movement, a great feature to use in hand with the other abilities of this monitor.

OLED monitors can be pretty expensive compared to their LCD counterparts, but the picture quality and performance are often worth the investment. Set a realistic budget based on your needs and do some research to find the best value for your money. Like many OLED monitors, the UltraGear struggles a bit with brightness, especially in well-lit rooms. With a peak brightness of 206 nits across the full display (or 800 nits in HDR mode, but only in specific areas).

While they may be fine for playing video games or for a television, design professionals find these ranges untrue to the final result, especially in print jobs. The refresh rate or refresh rate is the rate at which a monitor updates the information sent to it by the GPU to be displayed on the screen. On the other hand, on TN and VA monitors, the image varies significantly when one moves away from the frontal plane, which can lead to errors and misunderstandings.

Lightweight, easily carried, but with the same high resolutions and color coverage you'll need photo editing on the go. We've tested loads of compact models, but the espressoDisplay really stands out for us. With its impressive 6K resolution and sRGB 100% color coverage, the Dell U3224KB UltraSharp is arguably the best photo editing monitor for pretty much everyone. This is the professional monitor, specifically for a Mac user and someone looking for the best screen quality, color, and detail reproduction that money can buy. Sure, it’s not the cheapest, but it’s all the more worth it when considering its no-fuss compatibility with Macbooks. Beyond the fancy specs, we were happy to see the standard features we were familiar with on Samsung monitors. These include MagicBright mode, a wall mount, an eco-saving setting, and an eye-saver mode.

Scroll below our recommendations to learn more about what to look for in a monitor for graphics design. Having three or more screens may be beneficial for very involved work like video rendering or 3D modeling, but most people won't need that much screen real estate. You don't necessarily need a 4K monitor, per se, but you do want a higher resolution than 1080p.

If you’re looking for a premium model, you could go for the ASUS ProArt. And when it comes to features, the LG UltraFine deserves mention. With fully adjustable swivel, tilt, pivot, and height adjustment, it’s fully adaptable. You can also be sure that you won’t need to worry about annoying flickers on this quality monitor.

You can tap, swipe and pinch-to-zoom like you do on your mobile phones and tablets. Samsung Odyssey G9 is perfect for graphic designers seeking accuracy, vibrancy, and a seamless workflow. As graphic designers, we all spend hours glaring at our screens, thankfully BenQ PD3420Q has flicker-free technology and a blue light filter that makes it less harmful to our eyes. This monitor highlights its impressive display capabilities, color accuracy, and dedicated features intended especially for creative professionals. This monitor excels in delivering the best visual experience whether it's photo editing, graphic design, or video production. That's why I came up with a decision to write this article to suggest the 9 best graphic design monitors that will surely help you decide which one is right for you and your creative needs.

It’s an 8-bit panel with 10-bit color depth courtesy of dithering. It’s also good for 117 percent of the sRGB gamut and 90 percent of DCI-P3 (note that the only gamut preset available in the rather limited OSD is sRGB). However, we did feel the quality wasn't great - and while Philips rates the 288E2UAE at a modest 300cd/m2, even that seems optimistic when you view the slightly dull overall panel vibrancy. Looking for one of the best entry-level monitors for graphic design work?

The golden ratio never looked more at home on a best graphic designer monitor before now, but there’s a couple of shady downsides to this amazing panel. Apple being Apple, the price tag doesn’t include a stand or VESA mount adaptor, which is very disappointing to see on such a high ticket item. If you can afford the extra to buy one, this is the best monitor for Mac graphic designs hands down.

With variable refresh rate (VPR) systems, the refresh rate of the display is synchronized with the output capability of your graphics card, for better performance and image quality. You should find a balance between screen size and resolution that gives you a large working area and a sharp image. Also consider the distance from the monitor you will be standing and the space you have on your desk before choosing your monitor. These are the main features that any graphic designer should look for in a monitor. Although there are more aspects in the technical data sheets of the monitors, making sure you have these, you will be sure to be buying a good monitor for Graphic Design. In addition, despite its low price, it supports HDR (High Dynamic Range), with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.

I would argue that Windows hardware is comparable to, in some cases better, than Apple's tech. For bulky, powerful laptops like the MSI Creator Z16, battery life doesn't matter as much. Speaking from experience, you don't want to lug around a big laptop every day. Plus, their hardware demands a lot of power so your battery is going to drain much more quickly. With this level of hardware, a normal laptop would turn into a furnace. To combat this, MSI installed a robust cooling system called the Vapor Chamber Cooler to ensure the Creator Z16 operates at a low temperature.

It gives professionals a powerful enough GPU to render 3D objects. Plus, the 3060 model is quite good at meeting the performance requirements for video editing. That type of work can be tough on other AIOs, but the Surface Studio 2+ handles them with ease.

The Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 G93SC is undeniably the best large OLED monitor on the market, delivering unparalleled gaming and viewing experiences. Let's be honest, sometimes we're looking for that sweet spot of performance without breaking the bank, right? This is a 27-inch, 240Hz monster that was practically made for competitive gaming. And, thanks to its reasonable 2,560 x 1,440 resolution, you won't need the best graphics card just to reach that number in most online games. Miray Cruises Ship Management & Floating Hotel Accommadations

miray cruise

After the overwhelming demand received from the initial launch of Life at Sea Cruises, Miray Cruises has now acquired a newer, larger vessel to accommodate the unprecedented enthusiasm from adventurous souls worldwide. Miray Cruises, a Turkish cruise operator and hotel services provider for the cruise industry, acquired the vessel in 2019. The cruise will take place on the MV Gemini ship, which was originally built in 1992 and underwent renovations in October, Mikael Petterson, managing director of Life at Sea Cruises, said in an email. The vessel, which can accommodate nearly 1,100 passengers, will spend multiple days in each port during the voyage. In April-July 2012, the ship was chartered (as hotel ship) by Petrofac Ltd (Jersey UK-registered oilfield services provider to the oil and gas industry). In November 2015, the vessel entered drydock at Besiktas Shipyard (Istanbul, Turkey).

Former flight attendant Meredith Shay was looking forward to the trip as a centerpiece of her retirement. Witman says the company has begun the refund process, accepting her requests for other expenses to be paid, from airfare to the costs of foreign visas. Witman, who owns a marketing agency named Clever Lucy, was planning to work remotely aboard the ship, using its Starlink internet service. And as a single woman, she had been looking forward to exploring the world with a group. Along the way, they would explore wonders of the world, visit UNESCO World Heritage sites and have plentiful chances to go diving and snorkeling, the company said. Those customers are now scrambling to make new plans for where they will live for the next three years — and to extract refunds from the cruise line.

Since 2012, Miray International has been also involved with the Etstur's cruise shipping operations. The list of other Miray-managed cruise vessels also includes Louis Aura, Aegean Paradise, MS Delphin. The new vessel will offer Life at Sea Cruises residents an enchanting fusion of amenities and convenience with redesigned staterooms, a business center with offices, a cigar and wine bar, along with other creative offerings. There will also be a 24-hour on-call hospital with complimentary medical visits, learning and enrichment lectures, and opportunities to engage in volunteer and philanthropic initiatives. During the three-year journey, the 42,000 gross ton vessel’s voyage will span over 130,000 miles covering 382 ports, 7 continents, and 148 countries.

In her new position at Miray Cruises, Holmes will be responsible for the company’s ongoing growth initiatives, fleet expansion, and leading the executive team for the upcoming launch of Life at Sea CruisesTM, the world’s first and only three-year cruise. The ship has a 24-hour Infirmary (on-call hospital) served by professional staff and operated with free medical visits. Celestyal Nefeli/Gemini ship has a total of 400 staterooms (max capacity 1074 passengers) and 8 decks (5 with cabins). Of all Celestyal Nefeli cabins, 10 are Suite-grade accommodations each with a private balcony.

The intense fallout is drawing comparisons to infamous debacles such as the Fyre Festival — the "luxury" music festival that was more like a "disaster relief area." Experience the joy of giving back and making a positive impact on the world through our volunteer opportunities and philanthropic initiatives. After that, 15% of each cruiser’s fare will be due semi-annually, with the next payment due on December 31, 2023. To make the three-year trip more affordable, Life at Sea has instituted a pay-as-you-go flexible payment plan. Payments can now be made in semi-annual installments, with the first payment of 25% due on June 30, 2023. This first payment is a combination of a 10% deposit and the initial first payment of 15%.

Since Carnival Miracle’s launch, the ship has undergone a series of dry docks, to bring the ship up to modern standards and add new features and elements. BlueIguana Tequila Bar is the onboard spot to chill and enjoy a slushy tequila drink or an ice-cold Mexican cerveza. Expect lots of couples and groups of friends traveling together, and a wider range of ages than some cruise lines see. Passengers generally range in age from 25 to 65, with families onboard, especially during summer and school breaks.

Nick and Nora's, situated under the skylight in Carnival's red funnel, offers unforgettable dinner that is worth the $30 charge considering the exquisite atmosphere, extra-attentive service and the quality of the meals. Horatio's lido buffet is a one-level restaurant boasting full breakfast and lunch buffets. It is also a casual dinner alternative and late-night bistro. A sushi cart is set up each afternoon outside of Maguire's Bar with rotating options like shrimp, assorted rolls and salmon, all free of charge.

Carnival Miracle Deck Plans

The Miracle can hold 2,124 based on double occupancy (two people per room) and more when you take into account 3rd and 4th passengers. When you compare the total tonnage of the ship to the number of passengers, the Miracle has a space ratio of 42. Depending on the ship, this number can range from 30 to 52 (with a bigger number meaning more space per person) so this ship's space-to-person ratio is about average. Carnival Miracle Junior Suites are all located on deck 4 (Main) and feature balconies, shower/tub combos, and sitting areas with a sofa and a small table with three chairs. The bathroom was brightly lit, with a single large mirror spanning the wall above the sink, flanked by three shelves on each side and a makeup mirror.

With a capacity of 2,124 cruisers at double occupancy, the passenger-to-space ratio on Carnival Miracle and its sister ships is the best in the entire fleet. Carnival-logoed Beach Towels are provided in each cruise accommodation for passengers to take ashore. For all other cruise accommodations, bathrobes are provided (upon request) during the turndown service on the first evening. Bathrobes can be purchased at $49 (adult size) and $24 (children sizes /2-4 yo and 6-8 yo). Another way to gauge the cost of a cruise is to consider how much you'll spend on board. Even though a lot is included in the base cruise fare, you may still spend money on things like spa treatments, specialty dining, drinks, and excursions.

In 2021, Carnival Miracle had planned day roundtrips to Alaska from San Francisco. The other Carnival Alaskan ship was Carnival Freedom (homeported in Seattle WA). However, due to the Coronavirus crisis and Canada's extended (through 2022) ban on cruise ships, CCL's entire Alaska 2021 program was canceled.

Escape from reality as you take in a show at the Phantom Lounge or a dance at Dr. Frankenstein's Lab. To lose yourself in a song, find your way to Sam's Piano Bar. You'll find great food all over the place, from the casual fare of Horatio's to the artful eats of the Bacchus and Ariadne dining rooms... Not to mention the world-class cuts at Nick & Nora's Steakhouse.

Carnival Miracle - user reviews and comments

By registering with Cruise.com you will be able to view these special rates and offers. It’s where young teens ages 12 to 14 go to hang out, meet new friends, and enjoy some pretty awesome activities like dance parties, games, outdoor movies and more, in the special Circle “C” area or around the ship. It’s all supervised by friendly and fun-loving counselors who want your young teens to have the best vacation ever. Sometimes you sit and take things slow, and sometimes you gotta roll — there’s just so much to do on a Carnival cruise!

Find out which fun ingredients — staterooms, dining, activities — go into each deck. When we say that Carnival Miracle takes you to another world, we mean that in every sense. Not only does this ship visit stunning destinations, but features incredible onboard spaces inspired by elements of fantasy.

In 2024, the parent company (Carnival Corporation) had ~51% stake in the US$64+ billion industry. Inside cabins (deck 6, category 4C) numbers 6101 and 6102 are sized 235 ft2 (22 m2). Inside cabins (deck 4, category 4B) numbers 4101, 4102, 4103, 4104 and 4233 are sized 225 ft2 (21 m2). Any ocean view stateroom, or better, depending on availability. The pre-teens can hang out at Circle C, where guests ages 12 to 14 get their own special spot to mingle with only those near their own age.

The ship’s next dry dock is scheduled to take place over March, April and May 2025. Given the length of the scheduled dry dock, it’s safe to assume major changes will take place. The most recent refurbishments took place in 2022, in Portland, Oregon, when Carnival rebranded the ship’s spa as Cloud 9 Spa, expanded the casino and refreshed the ship’s hull design. Ah, imagine a perfect day out on the links, the golfer's zen of the ball, the hole and nothing in between but well-manicured fairway... Whoever it was, they had one thing in mind — maximum fun for mini-golfers, big and small! That's precisely why you'll find a course on every Carnival ship, where you can hit the holes and take in everything you’d expect, like the sights and the sounds...

The monthly newsletter from the Carnival covers all the onboard activities, entertainment, dining and other things. You get a physical copy right at your stateroom, and a digital copy is at your fingertips. All these measures from Carnival Cruise Line are to enhance your cruise experience by making the most of your cruise activities. As I already mentioned above, for me, it’s more important than my cruise documents. It’s because this newsletter will tell you everything going onboard. So for this reason, Carnival Cruise Line offers Carnival Fun Times to help you plan the cruise activities in the early time to prevent you from missing out.

Land Vacations

The Sports Court, mainly where we saw games of pickup basketball, is also on Deck 12. For those looking for a bit of seclusion without paying the price, Deck 15 has two whirlpools in the adults-only Serenity area, but no pool. Watching sunsets from here and chatting with fellow passengers became an evening tradition for us. The Havana pool and whirlpools are on Deck 5, but only accessible to those staying in Havana staterooms. You can see the space from the Havana Bar, and it looked secluded and dreamy.

Kids Club On Carnival Panorama: Camp Ocean

Guy's might not be your first thought for an evening tipple, but we found quite a few inventive drinks here to kick off -- or end -- the night (including a nonalcoholic menu). For more elaborate steam rooms and heat chambers, you'll want to buy a pass to the thermal suite. Buy a cruise-long pass or stay in a Cloud 9 Spa cabin, which includes cruise-long access in the fare. You can also buy day passes and sometimes two-for-one special are available on port days. The complex has heated ceramic loungers, a large whirlpool, a Hamman, an aroma steam room and a dry heat chamber. There are two teen clubs onboard Carnival Panorama and across the Carnival fleet.

The cabin is cleaned once a week by a member of the housekeeping team. The kids club onboard Carnival Panorama is called Camp Ocean, and it is tucked up on Deck 11 midship. It's close to Bookville, the top-deck attractions and also offers "sports" activities in its own private outdoor playground area. Kids and adults surpassing 4 feet can also reach for the sky with thrilling -- and free -- outdoor activities like the SkyRide cycle or SkyCourse ropes and obstacle course. The Promenade on Deck 5 is one of the busiest places on the ship, with a majority of Panorama's bars and restaurants, but it's also home to some noteworthy shops and public rooms. Surrounding the atrium there are a few more shops including the hard-to-resist Cherry on Top sweets and gift store.

Shipboard Health and Safety

A 50-minute stone massage costs $149, and facials begin at about the same price. We found good deals on port days, though, and the service itself was very good. The spa is run by Steiner and uses Elemis products; if you don't want a sales pitch afterward, just say so.

For nice sunrise or sunset views, do your daily walking or running on the outdoor jogging track on Deck 12; seven laps equal a mile. We found it well-used but still manageable; what's nice is that the track is a dedicated space so you aren't tripping over sun loungers or other equipment. There's fitness equipment interspersed around the track, for people who like to stop and incorporate exercises such as pulldowns or planks during their run/walk. Carnival Panorama has an active nightlife, with plenty of music and bars to fit a variety of tastes. The Cheers beverage program allows passengers to order up to 15 alcoholic drinks a day, as well as unlimited sodas, mocktails, bottled water and specialty coffees and teas for a set fee.

From finding the right destination to choosing the best departure date, we're here to help. Plus, our experienced travel consultants have access to exclusive vacation deals to make sure you get the best value for your time and money. Join me as we explore the captivating world of cruise ships together. As I already mentioned, a few restaurants on cruise ships may require a reservation. The Fun Times includes all the activities from the above categories to be held the next morning. So, you’re given an idea of these activities to make up your mind about the activities you like.

But in the digital one, Cruise Hub supports real-time updates that automatically change the schedule, activities or dining options. If I tell you about my experience with the Fun Times, I eagerly wait for it on every cruise. I feel the same sentiments as the kids who count the day for Christmas morning.

Frequent cruisers may notice the new decor and furnishings across all public areas on the ship. The ship will sail out of New Orleans several times this summer for seven-day itineraries to the Eastern or Western Caribbean, according to a recent news release from Carnival. All Fun Squad, Sports and Content Manager positions will be accommodated in a double-occupancy cabin which includes bunk beds, closet, desk, TV and bathroom (shower, sink, cabinet, toilet). Get ready to set our guests off on an exhilarating, adrenaline-filled ride as they accelerate, twist and turn 187 feet above sea level around the ship’s funnel. Our guests will always be entertained with all the FUN games our teams host throughout the ship. Being part of the Fun Squad team you will lead a multitude of FUN activities.

Two inviting and well-designed teen clubs for ages 12 to 14 and ages 15 to 17 are located side by side on Deck 4; both are generally open from 5 p.m. The ship's "main" Lido Deck pool is called the Beach Pool -- and it's small for a ship this size. Outdoor movies and concerts are shown on the 12-by-22-foot screen that overlooks this pool, and there's usually a DJ or musical performance going on.

There's an outdoor section to the Havana Bar, near the Havana pool. This area is closed off, however, to passengers who aren't staying in the special Havana cabins. I had the opportunity to cruise aboard the Carnival Celebration, and we sat down with Cruise Director Lee Mason. Watch as we learn how Lee started in the cruise business and came to work for Carnival Cruise Line. We talk about his assignment aboard the Carnival Celebration, his favorite places onboard, cruise tips, and much more. Also in the Cloud 9 complex is the ship's well-equipped fitness center (open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.), which runs for-fee classes such as boot camp, spinning, abs attack and yoga.

Carnival's newest attractions, Sky Zone, is smartly placed on Deck 7 forward next to the pre-teen and teen clubs. Its fleet consists of 25 ships, each with a Cruise Director onboard. This is often for training and orientation purposes as well as transitional periods at the beginning and end of contract periods.

From the front of the ship, to the back, and everywhere in-between you’ll be the life of the party. In the gym, you'll find a wide range of cardio equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and rowing machines. There's a studio in the middle of the gym for classes, most of which carry a fee. Sign-ups begin on the first day of the cruise and tend to book up early, so if you want to get your spinning fix, stop by shortly after boarding.

So, due to its high importance, I’m going to share everything about this newsletter so that you can take advantage of it.

True to land trends, the Salon has a full brow and lash bar, with shaping, tinting and extensions available. Medi-spa treatments include Restaylane, Dysport (similar to Botox) and Thermage. The Future Cruise desk as well as the Shopping Expert desk (where you can find out more about shopping ports) are located on Deck 10 forward (check your daily Fun Times program for hours).

For safety reasons, you can only film these activities with a GoPro bodycam; nothing in your hands or pockets. Karaoke is offered almost every night of the cruise; check your daily schedule to see which venue is hosting it on any given night. Carnival Cruise Line has released a schedule of Cruise Directors from 2024 to 2025, which specifies the name of the cruise director assigned at a particular time. This schedule is accessible to the public, and Carnival ensures it is frequently updated to reflect changes. For parents who love reading to their kids, the Seuss at Sea initiative is a must.

As the ambassadors of all things FUN, you will lead a wide variety of activities onboard. A full array of massages -- hot stone, deep tissue, Swedish, bamboo, couples and Thai poultice -- are available. Other services advertised included a pain management "cold therapy" massage, a salt stone massage and a "Thousand Flower" detox wrap that uses green tea balm.

Playlist shows that feature Musicians

It makes things easy, though if you like viewing hundreds of other people's photos to find your own, you may be disappointed. The fun continues when you reach your port — there’s a huge variety of shore excursions to choose from. Extra activities aside from your standard role will include Port Manning, Just Ask, Groove for St. Jude, and various safety trainings and drills. We take Pride in offering many world class trainings and events throughout the year.

Ocean Plaza is also the space for group games such as Yahtzee, Scattergories, Connect Four, beanbag toss and Trivial Pursuit. We are proud to partner with some of the best in the industry in supporting our team members and the community. With these partnerships we’ve been able to attend NAMM with our shipmates in Los Angeles, participate in the Rose Parade, host a Rolland Mini Expo at Carnival Studios and more! Musicians that work with Carnival Cruise Line also receive discounts on top-of-the-line music gear from multiple name brand companies. Be the life of the party as the ship celebrates special holidays and events. With entertainment options that range from big-name celebrities to virtual thrills, Carnival Cruise Lines’ entertainment offerings are the best in the business.

Personal training and nutritional counseling are also available for a fee. Coin-operated launderettes and ironing rooms are available throughout the ship. If you want to delegate that task, the ship has extra-fee valet wash and fold services. The SkyCourse is an elevated ropes course in which passengers are fitted with a harness that clips to a track, then they must navigate eight segments with various degrees of difficulty. Kids and many adults whiz through it after a few practice rounds, but if you're afraid of heights, have iffy balance or don't like the idea of dozens of people watching you panic, the course isn't for you. We found it generally wait-free and worth the effort, but there were some who told us, "Never again."

The blue slide is enclosed, but the red one requires a raft and won't operate in extreme wind or weather. The Cruise Director assignments and schedule is subject to change as the needs aboard different ships change. Schedules often overlap with another Cruise Director at the beginning and end assignments.

Services and Wi-Fi on Carnival Magic

Now, you must be surprised and wondering what Fun Times really is. Whether it's pickleball, dodge-ball, basketball, or table tennis host a variety of unforgettable sports tournaments for our guests. You will join your Cruise Director to host this hilarious show with questions and sometimes shocking answers. You’ll host one of the hottest game shows at sea where our guests play and deal for cash in a high-energy contest of nerves, instincts and intuition.

A social plan, where you can access Facebook, Instagram and other social media sites, costs $40 for the cruise. A Value package, which allows you to access more apps and sites but not Skype or streaming services like Spotify has one cost, while the Premium package is supposed to give you a better experience. We'll leave you with the caveat that even the Premium plan encounters slow speeds and download times. As part of our entertainment team onboard you get to be a highlight of our guests’ cruise experience. Our musicians participate in some of our unique guest engagement activities such as Q&A and Embarkation Fun Guide. This is your opportunity to promote your show, expand your fan base, and get to know your audience.

A rule of thumb on cruise ships is the higher up you go away from the main pool, the more loungers you'll be able to find. That's true on Magic, where you'll need to arrive early to score a primo lido spot. Posted signs warn chair hogs that towels will be removed after 40 minutes, but we didn't see this enforced. Like the line's other ships, Carnival Magic takes pride in having something going almost every minute, particularly in the evenings. From Dive-In Movies to production shows to raucous music trivia sessions led by the cruise director, there's something for everyone onboard. Whether it’s dining, entertainment, games, or relaxation by the pool, manage your time to experience various activities during the cruise.

The highlight comes during Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, when a fleet of drones supplement the action on the stage. A bit of editing and/or time management would make this show better; it ran 45 minutes, which is long for a Playlist Production show (most of which cap at 30 to 35 minutes). Carnival Cruise Line releases the latest cruise director schedule assignments across the fleet into 2024 and 2025. There's also a chat feature for a fee that allows you to communicate with friends and family onboard, although we heard from many that messages came through on sometimes ludicrous time delays. We were surprised by the quality of books, including literary best-sellers, and games found in the ship's library on Deck 4\.

Choose between theatrical shows, comedic performances, interactive family-fun, and a host of diverse, exciting opportunities. Browse the options below to find out how you’ll be spending your time on one of Carnival’s Fun Ships. Hopefully now you should be all cleared about the Carnival Fun Times newsletter and how to use it for planning daily cruise activities. On a cruise, staying aware of the daily cruise activities is not less than navigating a treasure map.
